I was thrilled to be commissioned by Hatfield House to capture a series of images showing visitors of all ages enjoying this stunning location. From the Stable Yard shops and cafe to the beautiful gardens and dog-friendly park, Hatfield House really is a photographer’s dream. I loved going to Hatfield House when my children were a bit younger, it’s such a nice setting to meet up with friends and just a 10 minute drive away from St Albans.
My brief was to cover the various types of visitors coming to the house, from children and families to pensioners, from local residents walking their dogs to tourists on a cultural visit. For this, we used some willing models (you might recognise a few faces!) but also visitors who happened to be there on the day and didn’t mind having their photo taken. I do love the challenge of approaching strangers and capture some candid-looking shots, as I always do when I cover event photography.
The photos will be used on the Hatfield House website and upcoming brochure, I can’t wait to see them in print! here is a small selection of my favourites…
